Short version: SPADE Timer does not collect, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your round data stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. The app connects to the internet for just two things: processing an optional subscription through Apple, and downloading the current debate topics file. Neither sends us any information that identifies you.
This Privacy Policy explains how the SPADE Timer app ("the app," "we," "us"), provided by TDK AI Solutions LLC, handles your information. It applies to the app published on the Apple App Store and to users worldwide.
Information we collect
None. The app does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, or usage analytics.
Where your data is stored
The timers, settings, and round data you create (speaker queues, time logs, timestamped notes, and rankings) are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data also syncs through your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices and survives reinstalling the app. This iCloud data lives in your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy; we cannot see or access it. We have no servers that receive your round data.
Current Topics
The Current Topics feature downloads a small public file of debate topics that we host. This is an anonymous request: the app does not send your identity, account, or any device identifier, and we do not add tracking parameters. As with any request to any website, our hosting provider may momentarily process your device's IP address in order to deliver the file; we do not use it to identify you, build a profile, or track you, and we do not associate it with any person. The downloaded topics are cached on your device so the feature works offline.
No analytics, ads, or trackers
Aside from the Apple App Store communication and the topics download described here, the app does not send your data over the network. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and it does not use cookies.
Subscriptions & purchases
SPADE Timer offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, SPADE Timer Plus. All purchases and any offer-code redemptions are processed by Apple through the App Store — the app never sees, collects, or stores your payment details. To unlock paid features, the app asks the App Store to confirm your subscription status; this is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only anonymized, aggregated sales and subscription reports from Apple — never your identity or payment information. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
Data retention and deletion
Because we never receive your personal data, we retain nothing about you. Your on-device data is removed when you delete the app. Data synced to your private iCloud can be removed from within the app (Settings → Clear Saved Round Data) or by managing your iCloud storage in your device settings.
International users
The app is available worldwide. Because the app collects no personal data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws, your rights are respected by this no-collection design. Children's privacy
The app is suitable for students, including those under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children. We do not build profiles or target advertising.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any. The app is not integrated with third-party data-collection services.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect.
